Fundraising events are the primary method utilized by The Friends to fund programs for GLBT youth in Massachusetts. Each year’s Youth Pride would not be possible without your support.

The Sunset Soiree
The legacy of Massachusetts Youth Pride spans over 15 years and was once a state funded event aimed at lowering the alarming statistics of GLBT Youth suicide rates. The Friends has organized and provided the sole funding for Mass Youth Pride for over 6 years. In order to continue the life saving programming we offer we rely on fundraising activites such as our Sunset Soirée. The Sunset Soirée is our primary event dedicated at raising community awareness on the updated statistics facing GLBT Youth and raising the necessary funds to continue the Youth Pride festival and parade.
All proceeds raised at the Sunset Soiree go to The Friends its Youth Pride and leadership development programming designed to combat GLBT suicide, alleviate isolationism and social stigma and bring information directly to the youth of Massachusetts.
Our mission and funding needs aren't an isolated event. We welcome and encourage our individual donors and corporate sponsors to commit their support year round through cash donations, in-kind donations for our silent and live auctions, and benefits rich sponsorships.
Our generous sponsors have dedicated their resources and support to continuing the programming of the Friends, in turn we ask that you support their businesses by purchasing their goods and services and recommending them to your friends and colleagues.
Youth Pride Marathon Monday Fundraiser!
The Friends will host a fundraiser for this year’s Massachusetts Youth Pride at Club Café, 209 Columbus Ave., Boston, on Monday, April 19th, from 8 p.m. until 11 p.m.
The fundraiser is open to adults over 21. Admission is $10, and raffle tickets will be available for a variety of items donated by local businesses and artists. Tickets can be purchased via PayPal by clicking the link below. Also, please visit the event Facebook page!
Club Café has donated their space for the event, and all proceeds raised will go directly to fund this year’s Massachusetts Youth Pride, which will take place Saturday, May 8th at the Boston Common. If you can’t make it to the event, donations for Massachusetts Youth Pride may be sent to Friends of GLBT Youth, P.O. Box 960519, Boston, MA 02196-0519.
